how can you get rid of horse flies by using normal household ingredients? but we dont own a horse?

My family and I are out doing some landscaping in the yard, but we have a huge problem with horse flies. The thing is though, we dont own a horse. Is there a way to get rid of these flies, even if it means killing them, which I have been doing so far with a fly swatter. I want to know if there are any household items we can use, like mixing items, or just using one right off the bat.

Personally, I always like the "fly strips" that you hang down, it captures them very well..

Cover any garbage, (its where they eat and populate). Get rid of any type of manure,(also another breeding ground).

If you can "stop them" in thier tracks, they wont breed... Anything that decays, they will be there to feed upon and launch a new generations of flies...

I wish you well..

Flypaper. It hands from the ceiling and has some sugary snack built into it and is super super sticky!!
