how can you get rid of horse flies by using normal household ingredients? but we dont own a horse?

Personally, I always like the "fly strips" that you hang down, it captures them very well..
Cover any garbage, (its where they eat and populate). Get rid of any type of manure,(also another breeding ground).
If you can "stop them" in thier tracks, they wont breed... Anything that decays, they will be there to feed upon and launch a new generations of flies...
