Hi im building a fort with my friends we are 16+, we are building it within the woods. We dont want to make it surrounded by the tree cause its for or little sisters, right immediately we have a big intact thats 12 by 12 and is 3 feet wide. anyone have any design about what we can do? what nature of wood we would need to buy and how we could incorport the environment into it? We only just want a place we could hang out, nought fancy. thanks for the sustain
Answers: Wow, that's an impressive hole but you know you will enjoy problems when it rains. Wood is also expensive, so I hope conceivably an experienced Dad or two is willing to facilitate. But to answer your question adjectives 2 by 4's and plywood would do the trick. If you want a specific design try the internet for plans.
If you don't have assistance from someone who know what they are doing I will be happy to distribute you a basic and sturdy design.
Make a roof frame out of 2X4s and staple up a roof of 1/4" plywood. Your dad may want to help next to some of this.
Or, if there are lots of trees around that you can cut, you can variety a much more natural-looking fort roof, but it won't shed rain impressively well.
