Should i charge for refreshment at a garage sale??>>(fundraising)?
Answers:
Say "Donations Welcome"
Let them know where their money is going.
Other answers:
Make sure you have a sign saying what the money is for...and don't charge a lot. I'll bet people will buy. Good Luck.

beer
Sell drinks, small bags of chips, cookies, brownies, etc.
Why don't you do it as a "donation" type thing...
Charge, but put a sign out that tells where the procedes go.
Just don't charge an outlandish price and I'm sure people will buy them, if they really are for a good fundraiser
I don't see any reason why not
Sure, you can charge at a low cost. Say $.25 a cookie or something like that.
You bet! you could offer cold drinks, cookies, pie. I have even seen people selling hot dogs and hamburgers.
It certainly wouldn't hurt, after all, you're under no obligation to give the people refreshments if they aren't buying anything.
Sure! Bottled water in ice-yard saling is hot. If you have those little Crystal light packages that you can add to the bottled water, and also some cookies are a good idea-or even some energy bars or granola bars.
Sell brownies, cookies, and lemonade. Buy some Kool-Aid and have fun! This is an excellent was to earn a buck for fundraising. Make sure you put that on your stand. Ppl are more likely to buy it that way.
Only Do that if its gonna be on a hot day, people will get thirsty and want a drink but don't make them expensive, they'll just go to the nearest drug store or wally world! good luck!
What are you doing the fundraising for? I think if you offered cookies you could just put out a basket for donations that says "contributions welcome."
People don't go to a garage sale to get treats. And nobody is going to leave and tell lots of other people to go to your sale because you had free cookies. I wouldn't bother with any refreshments except to have water available in case anyone really needs a drink. Now, if you want to sell baked goods and drinks to add to your proceeds, that would be all right. But don't BUY stuff; get homemade cookies, cupcakes, etc.
yes you should charge a little but not too much. try homemade cookies and a cool drink like limonade.
If you wanna raise money but don't wanna charge, try putting a donation cup next to them and just charge a donation however big or small but make sure they know the Money will be for a good cause
Good luck
sell them at a very low price. rice krispy treats are good, and so are brownies.
I would put them in packages of 3 or so, and charge 25-50 cents each depending on how big they are. For refreshments, I wouldn't sell water, but i'd sell lemonade, etc. for very cheap as well. People go to buy furniture and stuff, not food at garage sales, esp. since you are a stranger, they won't know what is in the things you have made. =)
Dessert squares and cans of pop. Sell them for $1 each. Or $1 for a can of pop and $0.75 for the treat.
definitely charge if it's a fundraiser. Depending on the time of your sale, you might want to have coffee/tea/hot chocolate for a morning sale, later in the day try some ice tea, etc. Donuts always work well.
charge like $0.25 up to $0.75. Depends on how big they are...
sign saying what you are doing and don't charge a shitload...plus put a smile on your face and you will sell a whole batch of cookies in a hurry...
Absolutely charge. But make it cheap - like lemonade for 25 cents/glass and 10 cents/cookie. You will not scare folks away and still add to the bottom line of the fund raising
Yes you should I see it all the time cookies and pop.
well if it's a garage sale then set up a free refreshment stand cause ppl will want nice cool lemonade etc on a hot day (assuming it'll be hot)
BUT you could also set up a bake stand with a big sign saying what what cause it's for etc and charge for cookies or whatever
the free drink might entice them to buy some cookies to go with it
Make good stuff
Soft cookies (variery)
rownies,
Cheech cake.
Defenitely charge for them to break even at least.
BP
Put out free pretzels and salty snacks, then sell the drinks. This is what bars and nightclubs do.
I thnk it would be cool to sell drinks for cheap if it's really warm out. Iced tea is easy (lipton in a canister) and popcorn. It;s cheap and easy and makes it kind of fun:o) (you can get plactic/papercups at the dollar store and little paper bags for popcorn)
Sell cookies and coke and sell the coke for 50 cents and sell two cookies for 50 cents. That what a lot of people do. Buy those cookies where the dough is already in squares and just stick them in the oven the night before and put the coke in a cooler
