how do you refinish fiberglass doors?

We have a front door that is faded and has a few rust spots and want to refinish it. What's the best way?

A fiberglass door shouldn't have rust spots. If it is stained you can probably use a Minwax product to restain it. You will not get it back to the original color. Every coat of Stain makes it darker. If it is painted you should be able to use a quality enamel to repaint. You should refinish your doors with a coat of Urethane approx. once a year.

I would be concerned with the rust spots. Are you sure it is a fiberglass door? Have you checked it with a magnet to be sure? I would do that before I decided on a procedure to refinish.
