Smoothing over Ashpalt Sub- Floors?
Will screw `pop` out due to foot traffic?
Will plywood warp and twist?
Will drilling ashalpt basis damp problems {as ashalpt is a Damp proof membrane}
My intensions are to fit sheet vinyl cushion floor as a floorcovering over this. Incidently, selflevelling flooring compound appears to expensive and would purloin a lot to conquer 6mm height.

Answers: you obligation to know how deep the asphalt/bitumen is. to my knowhow `bitumen` is a compound that tends to walk soft in the summer or if the house is a very well heated....try knocking a fastener in (to question paper the depth) if you hit solid ground take the length from the nail consequently add another 1 inch to the lengh of the scews that you will be using to screw the ply down....in that should be no problem placing the ply over your floor as long as the ply wood has a polite hold to the sub-floor,make sure you counter-sink the screw head or they might show through the vinyl when its been laid.
if you cant find solid floor below the asphalt, a floor screed may be your only leeway, by the way if the asphalt is practical level later just confer you floor a slight skim with a leveling compound afterwards lay the cushion floor over the top,
