how much does mahogany wood decking cost?
Answers:
You could pay up to $50 for a 1 x 6 mahogany board 10 foot long. I just bought some Trex (no texture) and it was about $27 for a 1 x 6 ten foot piece.
So cost alone shoud rule out mahogany for a deck and as someone has all ready said, it is a pretty soft wood.

They cost less when you leave it as it is.

It depends on where you get it, but it is expensive.
Mahogany is roughly the same cost as oak in most areas...However, I hope this is not for a outside deck...Mahogany is a soft wood and yet very beautiful when finished with just a poly finish it is not a type of wood for a deck.....If you have anymore questions on this you can E-Mail me at wood42ras@yahoo.com....hope this helps
if you have to ask they cost to much
depending on what you are doing with the wood? A small area would be pricey but dooable. If your looking for wood that is stand up to anything and expensive, try Teak. it will out last anything but plastic.
There is a distributor that specializes in what is called Bridgetown Mahogany. Very dense and used for exterior decking projects. Most people use 5/4 x 6 and it comes in lengths of 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 ft lengths. It is more expensive than composite deckings such as Trex or TimberTech. Those run from $2.00 per LF to $3.25 per LF.
