Can you use something other then cedar to build a homemade sauna?

Answers:
You can use any kind of wood you want, but stay away from Treated Wood, it leaches arsenic- Redwood is very expensive - Cypress should work ok, but even pine will work- as well as Fir. Redwood resist rot a little better.

Other answers:
Personally I would use Redwood. Its dense and water proof, and can take the heat.

Cedar, may have a huge smell... hmmm

I wish you well..
