Here's an idea that I did one year and it be under $25. I go to a thrift store and bought a really clean, close to new basket weave basket and consequently went to a discount store (either Ross or TJ Max Home Goods) and bought 2 tub towels, to hand towels and 2 washcloths. I also purchased some candles and a lavender sachet.
Roll respectively towel and tie them with a nice satin ribbon. After you place everything other in the picnic basket... tie a huge ribbon around it.
I think the entire grant set works well... they can use the picnic basket for storage or as a trashcan, the towels always come surrounded by handy, candles and the sachet are great - everyone can use them to relax... as for the ribbons, I'm sure they can reuse it for future gifts.

They don't need any homespun crap. Just contribute them a gift permit to Home Depot, Lowes, Williams Sonoma, Sur La Table, Bed Bath and Beyond or any other home store. It'll be more appreciated that some silly toilet paper cozy.

I like to achieve those plain terra cotta pots and saucers and paint them a color that I know the person like and sometimes make designs or stencilling on it and plant a nice little houseplant surrounded by it.
I use acrylic paints to do the work and then trademark it inside and out with spray-on laquer - be sure to gain a good coat around everywhere so that the hose will not ruin your work - especially important on the inside and the saucer, but the outside wants it too. Another nice touch is if you use the paint that has sequins in it, it can look more fancy, if that is to say the person's style.
Of all the things I own made for people, these seem to be to be a favorite.

last opportunity is almost every town has a dollar tree or dollar store. Get some picture frames for a dollar respectively, get some candles and holders for a dollar respectively, get some nice snack bowls for a dollar, return with some vases and some colored stones to travel in at hand that match her rooms within her home for a dollar each., you can even catch some nice kitchen utensils. hope this helps.
I believe a fire extinguisher is a good payment. If your friend ever needs it, you will both be bright and breezy you got it.

Several good design here, but I really like the fire extinguisher conception above. No one ever thinks of that. It's immaculate. I recommend 10 points for avnurd.
