How frequent inches of cocoon insulation do I necessitate for my attic?
Thanks
Answers: Not exactly sure what cacoon insulation is, but you should be more than covered if you turn with R-42. When ever you find to the R values that are more than 38, the return diminishes down to almost nothing. This finances that R-40 is virtually the same as R-100. I'm a fresh homebuilder in Minnesota and I put surrounded by 24" of blown in insulation. I grasp around R-38 to 40. The money saved here can go to more momentous energy money like window and sealants. It is critical to get every vent from the ceiling to the attic space sealed up. That's where on earth the heat is lost, small penetrations contained by the "lid".
Check the packaging for how abundant bags you have need of, they'll have a table for you to follow.
Good luck...wear a ventilator :)
