How do you install a laminate floor using 2 different colors creating a border?

Answers:
This is a very difficult to do yourself. There are two way. The easier way is to use "T" moldings to separate the different colors.
The second way is to use a power router and make a new grove on all both sides of all the the joining pieces. You then glue the pieces together using a "loose tongue". You will need to buy a special router blade. Costs about $50 to $75 at a special supply store. "Loose tongues" can be purchased at a flooring store and are specific to each brand of laminated. Looks very custom, very good when done correctly. GOOD LUCK

Go to Home Depot and have them draw up the pattern and sizes for you.

I do NOT understand your question.. I think you said you want to create a border with one color and the main floor with the other color laminate.. If that is so....(I certainly would not do it) then go ahead and use one color for the border and the other for the main floor????
