My potterton combi boiler simply lost adjectives power checked external fuses any tips please?
Answers: Hello, Try reset button? Fuse in boiler? Check Timer? Call Gorgi?Good Luck
in good health...they have be on Watchdog...there is a glitch with the circuit boards...& once they be on tv...anybody who had a slate...Potterton came round & fixed...free of charge. conceivably yours has like peas in a pod circuit board problem??
Plug something like a radio or kerosene lamp into the wall socket to check for output at the wall, if output ok then unplug boiler and check the internal fuses
Depends which boiler it is, the recent problem one be an analogue pc board, the replacement is digital and works fine, if it is an elder boiler, the reset button may have popped, if it have you need to find what cause it, usually the pump or diverter valve not operating, cause overheat lockout, if not, 4amp sudden blow fuse on board is worth a check. dont forget the board may still be live even though the power insubstantial is out.
Is the gas switched on? If so, call Potterton.
Have you get an RCD trip box. If so turn the boiler on and see if it trips. If it does get a qualified electrician surrounded by.
On the boiler side there could be a problem, so gain a qualified Corgi gas fitter to look a the boiler.
Hope this helps.
