Installing Hardwood surrounded by two coupled rooms?

Hello,

It is our first time installing hardwood floors. We are putting them in our living room and kitchen which flow together through an approachable area within the wall that separates them. My question is - if we lay the hardwood lengthwise contained by the living room, then it will be widthwise contained by the kitchen. And vice versa. The kitchen is about 10 X 20 and living room 13 X 20. Is nearby a preference for which room should enjoy it lengthwise? The living room has a windowpane on one of each (short and long walls) and the kitchen have a window and slider door on the 20 ft wall.

Second, is it possible to install hardwood contained by both directions? Meaning if we start in the living room and consequently hit the opening to the kitchen, can we work backwards to the posterior wall in the kitchen - or do we own to lay both rooms at the same time and hope they meeting up at the opening? We can't really put a transition strip contained by because the opening is on a diagonal (house is full of angles) and it would look really bleak.

Answers:    I have hear that you always intalled flooring so the most prominent bedside light source shines down them lengthwise.Therefor it seams that installing it so the kitchen slider wall is erect to the length of the flooring, will allow one of the Living room window to also shine lengthwise

Just a thought
I install wood floors perpendicular to the floor joist, determine which direction your joists run and progress the opposite.
at hand is no preference for which room should run lengthwise

itys mostly up to you , but if it be me i'd start in the livingroom and enjoy the boards run through the opening into the kitchen that route you wont have to wonder where on earth the boards are going to lay when you get to the first , especailly since you said that the opening wall is angled , you wouldnt want to hold a board cut on an angle the longway

so i'd go through the space and into the kitchen and no you dont want to work backwards and hope they meet up at the first , just run the boards long through the channel and into the kitchen and then work to the sides from within

go adjectives the way to the wall of kitchen from liv. room the girth of the opening next fill contained by the rest of the kitchen

B.
to give continuity to the rooms try or consider installing the hardwood on the diagonal within the same direction within both rooms this will make the rooms appear bigger and they will not clash..

.
your much better sour starting on one side and continueing straight throug.i can garentee they wont line up if you start from 2 different sides.and run into up
i would run it oppisite than the angle that you have contained by your home the rooms will then appear larger than what they are well-mannered luck it sounds like a chore to do
