I need help on finding a way to block the noise from my portable generator, Please help me?

Answers:
check with the parts dealer for your brand generator, they might have a muffler that will quit down the beast! or if your handy you can build your own or modified one to work. you can build a box from plywood and foam board allow for air flow. and keep one end open. place box over unit with open end facing the same as the exhaust. It won't be 100% quit, but it will be more bearable. I did both of the above on a older contractors generator I used at a hunting cabin. It worked until I could afford to buy a "quiet" one for the cabin.

You can build a WELL ventilated box around it without a top. Then insulate the inside(fiberglass flame proof) with a foot of clearance from the walls.(sound should go up and out) make sure any part on the ground has rubber vibration insulation(requireing a seperate safty ground) or buy a new muffler

This is very dangerous as the fumes from the generator can be fatal, and the fire hazard risk would drive you insurance agent to croaking!
