Redoing landscaping-can I save $ by removing the old plants/shrubs myself or have contractor do it?

Answers:
whatever you can do means it's something you don't have to pay someone else to do. However, you should consider how you're going to dispose of the old stuff, and if you removing them will include all the root growth. Some plants and shrubs can regenerate themselves even after removal if any of the root system is left in the ground.

We do most everything in landscaping and house renovation ourselves. The only thing we have hired out for in redoing our house so far is someone for a new ac system and pruning palm trees cause they are just too tall. We've planted apple and peach trees and bushes and have done fine. And you save a lot doing it all yourself.

how much less, if you do some of the Bull work....
