Acrylic or Steel Bath......wot's the difference???
Answers:
We replaced our bathroom last year and I opted for a steel bath because I did not like the movement and creaking you get from an acrylic bath. It feels much more solid and is extremely hard wearing - it does not scratch as easily as acrylic under normal circumstances, I find you got lots of little marks on acrylic. If you run your bath first it is warm before you get in. There is little, if any, difference in price. It is very easy to clean so long as you get the correct cleaner (Mr Muscle or Cif are great,) and stays shiny for years.

A steel bath is cold when you first get into it, especially in the winter.
Acrylic baths are more flexible and need to have a secure wooden frame built to stop the sealant cracking.
Your choice.
depends what youre going to be doing in it- steele maybe better if you intend to wash fiesty children and animals in it, but I have found that acrylic is more than sturdy enough to cope with your average household, its also cheaper and warmer.
Acrylic, think long term. Steel, think of scrathes. The steel you have to be very careful when you clean. Steel when you fall vs acrylic. Rinse your cleaner very very well if you get the steel.
