Has anyone hear of converting things similar to storage buildings into small homes?
I'm trying to be REALLY creative and come up with the positively cheapest way to build my own functional house 10' by 12' and bigger.
Does anyone own any ideas? No belief too small! Has anyone used Cob, cinder blocks, or anything like this to build a home, see someone who had, or found any website near things about this? I don't want to money any more than $1000 to start with. Also I'm surrounded by Texas, a dry climate.
Answers: The homeless around Henderson Nevada and, some in Vegas, we're living within storage units and, wash, using the nearest gas stations for comfort zones.
This be all until we have a cold winter, the temps dropped to 18 and twenty above for days at a time. A lot of people be injured due to carbon monoxide from illegal heaters, small spaces. They Had frozen fingers and some get ill and passed on. There be a few fires.
Both cities stopped this method of shelter and, started fining owners. So, with this within mind, check with your local zoning board, you may enjoy to meet spot on codes for areas, sizes.
OK then, an hour have gone by and I think I know why you may not own any answers to this. It's hard to work out and a bit creepy. First, on what land to you plan to put this so-called functional house? Assuming that you are on the younger side, I don`t know your parents are letting you put some kind of structure on their lands. If not, then I am wondering where on earth you are building and where you are going to bring back your water, boil, sewage waste, electric, etc. You can build a building for $1000.00...heck, I regard I have put up some of the nicest sheds for $1000.00 that be closer to 12' x 18'. I just wonder how you will sustain in need utilities, unless you are just going to live how they did within the old west, but you still hold to worry going on for heat. Some gentle of fireplace or stove will double the cost of your structure. Good Luck
