how many 80lbs bags does it take to make one yard of concrete?
Answers:
55-bags if the thickness is 3 1/2 inches.
Been there done that!!!!!!
A yard of concrete is 9x9..or...81 sq. ft...at 3 1/2 in. thick.
Other answers:
Look on the bag most are 3/4 a foot but 1 bag is called maximum and it is 1 foot. It takes 9 square feet to make a yard you are looking at 13 bags. or the maximum is 9
I'm a contractor so I need to know stuff like this sometimes. Hope that helps.

One 80# bag = 0.60 cu-ft
Since there are 27 cu-ft per 1 cu-yd, you'll need 27 / 0.60 bags, or 45 bags.
Happy mixing.
55, 45, or 15 ......hmmm.....
If you mix it with the correct amount of water.. and the yield is as specified on the bag, it will take 45 bags.... BANK ON IT.
On 60lb bags it takes 54.
