Is it possible to craft a fountain out of an elderly sink and faucet.?

I would like to furnish a sink and faucet the appearance of having plumbing for display purposes. Is it possible to use a fountain piece of equipment to create that effect. I'd like to be capable of turn a handle and hold the water flow, after drain back down into a pudding basin to be pumped through continuously if left on. but competent to be shut off by simply turning the feel back to the bad position.

It may be less expensive to buy a 12vdc RV pump but consequently you'll need a saloon battery or 120vac/12vdc converter.
Won't hurt to check w/the pump mfg to insure your no flow (valve closed) time won't hurt the pump.

Install a filter on the pump suction stripe and you should be good to be in motion...
Yes its simple enough when you carry the pump. The key is to install an in-line filter - to collect any rubbish population put into it. You will have to turn the pump rotten and on - but there are pumps out in that that - for example you can have the pump running adjectives day and turn it past its sell-by date overnight.
