Where can I volunteer against hate crimes in Omaha, NE?
Answers:
I think it is really commendable that you want to do this. Victims Services in your town should be able to give you the names of several organizations that you can choose from.
For those who think that hate crimes deserves no more attention that just "regular crime" well, the day that someone decides that your are too stupid, fat, thin, or doesnt like your skin color or the fact that you may be straight and violates you as a result....there will be no more attention paid to that than just "regular crime"
Other answers:
Lets get this straight, if you commit a crime against someone and harm them, you do not love them! This hate crime stuff is nonsense! A crime is a crime, there should be nothing extra just because the person happened to be gay or black, etc.

I agree with Mr C but if you're just dying to do this then find some local groups that advocate for whatever "victims" you feel drawn to.
NAACP, Act Up, Queer Nation, CAIR, etc.
You'd probably do a lot more good by going to church and participating there.
I am with Mr. C but start with your local crime stoppers
