Hooking up a programable thermostat?

I just own heat, no AC. I'd resembling to get a programable thermostat. the thermostat I hold is just a power-driven switch. There is no electricity in the wall nearby. What programable thermostat would you recomend for this situation? ebay links please


Answers:    You can get a programmable thermostat at any home center for not much money. It will amass you Lot's of money in operating costs. White Rodgers, Honeywell are a few terrifically good ones and own been around for years. Get the heating/cooling newly in defence you get AC following. No power is needed in the wall. The low voltage that thermostats run on comes from the furnace and ac condenser unit power transformer.
They will all work. The power is furnished by the furnace through the two wires. You can even use one that is to say made for heating and cooling by individual hooking the two wires to the "heat" terminals and ignore all the other terminal.

The ones I have purchased over the years other give directions for single source (heat or AC) installation. Looking at my book presently (furnace door is next to the computer). So any should work, dance to Lowes or Home Depot or an ACE hardware store and they can help you select one.
