assuming you already have the tig--take the tungstend rod out of the holder and sharpen it to resenble a pencil,when your ready to strike the arc hit the pedal and swipe at the metal drawing back about a 1/4 inch--keep the pedal about half and insert your filler rod. let the torch do the melting--dont shove the filler rod in too much--takes a lot of practice--alot!
