How much is that stuff you put over your windows/doors to relief hold on to cold drafts out?

Like that plastic stuff? Is it worth it? My apartment is freezing right now (only one zone, so anything heat make it upstairs is better than none). Downstairs there is a big sliding cup door and the front windows total give or take a few 7 feet of length. I think the chalice door is the main contract killer. The heat have been on non stop these ancient two days (whoever thought a heat pump be a good view for northeast PA is an a - hole). I can literally feel the 15 scope F/real feel 1 level F air seep in, and I am seething at the inefficiency of the heat system to make the place stay heat. However, my seething is not enough to melt up the place in charge to avoid blowing $150 on another electrical bill this month...

Answers:    I don't believe it helps extremely much, the air merely travels around thru to another open crack that you don't see. It might lower your bill a bit but nil signficant. I did the whole plastic sheeting on the windowpane in my old-fashioned house, covered the plug sockets etc and it did nothing!
buy that stuff for ur door its worth it
especially put it on the cracks where on earth air is coming within ..
it works rele well
=) pious luck
try putting plastic around that door from the outside next reheat day you enjoy i am talking 30 degree you must know a couple of men that would help you see if they enjoy a staple gun go buy some plastic and do the big door that should free you alot and it would not take that much time and the plastic is not exspensive turn to the hardware store but get it done subsequent nice day ask someone to minister to you.
