How can I stop lightning from hitting my house?

Answers:
There is no real good way to stop the strike from getting to your home. I would suggest eliminating the source that is causing the strikes. Lightning is a positive charge that usually builds up on a non grounded surface like an antenna or metal mailbox and metal rain gutters etc. Try to find the source of the charge and ground it. If the above fails, a professionally installed lighting arrest system will need to be installed..Good Luck

put a lightning rod somewhere close to your house and lightning will hit that instead of your house
You can't really stop lightning from hitting your house. If that area has a tendency to be charged, that's due to the nature of the area. But what you CAN do is make sure that the strikes are less dangerous. By professionally installing a lightning rod and faraday cage, you can make sure that the lightning never hits any important electrical equipment, and discharges safely into the ground through wires that are equipped to handle the current load.

And lightning rods will not draw lightning away, at least not much beyond where it wanted to strike anyway. So the best idea is to install the rod as I said before on your house. That way even if it doesn't strike your house, things are dandy, but if it does, you have the insurance that it will dissipate more safely.
put up lightening rods along the roof peak
sale your house and move to an apartment
every time it thunder showers out side etc, go out side on your rof with a umbrella and stand there and hopefully you make it back to tel us, if you are afarid of the lightning which it wont hurt your house hop in your car and the rubber tires will protect you okay but if you think you can stop lightning from hiting your lovely home go up on roof with a umbrela etc!!
Remove all things around and on topof your house that will conduct electricity. also I dont know how but there is a way to keep things like static eltricity and other unseen conducter from building up.Dont just install a lightning rod up install a lightning prevention system in.
Use a lightening rod. What would we do without that invention by Benjamin Franklin, one smart dude.
Lightning rods help but are not fool proof. Only guarantee is to live underground. However, odds are in your favor. m
has it actually hit it before? i suppose someone still sells oldfashioned lightening rods that were popular over 100 years ago, just look for them on line or in a phone book
A good old fashion lightning rod will do the trick.
