Does anyone know what cities around chicago allow cpvc to be used for water supplies in homes?
Answers:
cpvc is ok, the illinois state plumbing codes are avaliable on the web. plumbers use copper because they are trying to impress the public. they really want people to believe copper is better and it take a experienced plumber to install it. the bottom line is that cpvc is cheaper, better, easier to install than copper and will last longer. burry a piece of copper and a piece of cpvc for 100 years, dig it up and see which one survived.
cpvc is so much easier, its nuts to use copper.
