What is a good remedy to getting rid of spiders?

Spiders are usually deterred most effectively by knocking down the webs as soon as they appear. Also daddy long-legs are insects that eat spiders--don't bother them.

Keeping the place clean will help. Also spiders are eaten by lizards and frogs, but it is still easier to get some bugspray. You could try window cleaner but most of the nasty spiders need poison to get rid of effectively.
What kind of spiders? For daddy long legs, I wouldn't rush to exterminate them they eat lots of small insects. Black widows can be sprayed w/an insect-spider spray, available at local hdwr. stores. Unless u have some other types don't be too concerned, they won't bother you unless they are disturbed. You probably couldn't get too close to a b/widow anyway. Don' be crawling in dark places where they might be located.
