How do i line a standard lamp switch contained by my bathroom my trailer is 1974 and i enjoy a black a white and a copper telecommunication no
Answers: I can't believe the first answer! WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! Black is DEATH. Black is BAD! BLACK is the HOT side!
Black = hot, white = neutral, unclothed copper (or green) = ground, red (or blue) = switched. You always switch the HOT side, or both sides as a two of a kind. (except for a 3 way switch, but that does not apply here) White pass through the box, connected to itself, the switch should have black going to the switch and red going from the switch to the table lamp fixture. If it has white and black going to the fixture, next again, white passes through connected to nought but itself and black is connected to the switch. You should have drawn a picture when you took it apart...
Hire a licensed electrician. Trailer fires are the worst! Not worth the risk.
