Cork board question?

Can you paint cork board, or does it just soak through and look splotchy? Would it be easier just to spray paint it? Also, I'll be hanging the board on my wall at college, which doesn't allow holes in the walls. How can I hang it w/o making holes? I'm trying to make a custom picture holder.

Answers:
you could cover your cork board with some fabric if you don't want to paint it. Just use some spray adheasive. As far as hanging goes 3m makes a product that you have to pull on to release. Aparently it is really strong.
or you could use double sided carpet tape. I don't understand why your dorm wont let you hang things on the wall with a hook and nail. seems to me that is easier to get off then tape etc. and easy enough to fill in the hole when you leave with a little poly filla.

Other answers:
You could paint it with a roller, but it wont look good after while with all the tacks in and out of it.

I painted mine, just use a roller and GOOD paint.

3M sells a lot of stuff to hang things. If it's not to big/heavy, you can use sticky hooks.
Command hooks are the best to hang stuff if you cant have holes. I used them when i was in college.
