I have this really cute $30 sewing tool I have already practiced and made a purse it doesn’t hold any dials to change stitch or any article fancy like that. So any who, my best friend asked me to spawn her some curtains she has already picked out the textile and she measured the windows. What I have need of to know is if any one has any pointers or suggestions and if any one know what kind of string I want to get and if I requirement new needles for the sewing domestic device any thing at adjectives that can help me receive some nice curtans. Answers: Well curtains are pretty easy, depending on the type. They are lately hems and a outer layer (or tabs) for the rod.
As for needle sizes:
12 and smaller - sheers
14 typical fabrics resembling cotton calico
16 and larger heavy fabric
You use pointed or all purpose needles for woven fabric and ball point if you sew on knit.
Thread: Usually you can use all purpose. There is fine stuff that might sustain you get a nice seam on sheers and nylon upholstry thread for really creamy fabrics. There is also a weighty thread for topstitching too.
So anyway, when you are cutting the curtains, don't forget to exit extra fabric for the hem and casing. Also, most curtains are two to three times all along the rod, unless you are going for a special effect.
