they highlight other's weaknesses to hide their own perceived weaknesses.

Because they are self-contious about themselves so if they make fun of someone Else then they feel better about them self's.

TO make their lousy selfs feel better because they're lives suck so bad they have to make it worth enough to live so they make fun of others to entertain their selves.

They are insecure
Because they are insecure and therefore try to make themselves feel better by finding faults in others or trying to make others insecure.
because it make them feel bigger than the person that they are picking on, it also make them feel good about themselves and the person they pick feel like ****(pardon my choice of words)
Because sometimes it's fun, and probably what that person said about making themselves feel better. We all know it's wrong and mean. but come on, we all do it.
Basically it's because they think that they are better so they don't need to put any respects on others.

Like that other chick said, They do it because they dont feel good about themselfs they are insecure like u kno wats.when I was in middle school I got made fun of!!I use to cry and all but now I dont...Dont make it look like its bothering you...if the bully thinks its bothering you he or she is gonig to continue to bother you if you just ignore them they will think ohh he or she is no fun and move on to someone else.
