If its savage-able then use some mild soapy water. If its the cushions then take out the foam inserts and soak the cover( again in mild soapy water) After you let them soak for a while then wash them as normal..
If its the wood then wash with mild soapy water and after its dry you might consider staining it or putting a thick coat of gloss on it..
I don't know your situation but I hope this helps.
sadlle soap and warm water, and have lots of time
What Firestorms said. Or you could try one of the oils (not necessarily spray polishes) that Old English puts out.

Good luck! My parents lost a lot of stuff to a house fire some years ago too.
If it is just smoke damage, a good wood polish of your choice should do the trick. If you have deep smoke damage or even heat damage, then it's time to break out 400 grit sandpaper and sand the entire piece of furniture. After the sanding is uniform and finished, you can choose just about any color of varnish or stain that you can imagine. It could be a fun project or a pain in the azz, depending on how you look at it. good luck
murphy's oil soap is good.Or you may need to sand and stain)( redo)it.Good Luck.
