How do I calcuate the volume of a pitched roof?
Answers:
you mean area, you have to go up ther and measure a side and an end and then multiply that for the square footage then do the same for the other side 3 bundles of shingles cover 100 square feet
Other answers:
easy way take a 1 foot level set it on the roof level it and measure from then end down to the roof that will give the pitch. Say it 2 inches is a 12/2 pitch.for squire foot measure height X width divide by 100 (3) bundle of roofing equals 100 squire add extra for the hip or ridge

Call and get some free estimates. Let them do the measuring for you. Then thank them. Then go buy what you need.
Fill it up with water, then get a very large measuring jug and pour the water into it.
Simple
Divide it up into a series of triangular wedges !/2 height times length time width.
The corners may be more like pyramids? I think that one has 1/3 height or something, for the whole pyramid. You would then have to divide the result by 4?
Let's say it's triangler - with side A B and C
Calculating the Area of a Triangle
The area of a triangle can be found by multiplying the base times the one-half the height.
If a triangle has a base of length C= 6 inches and a height of A=4 inches, its area is 6*2=12 square inches
Then mulitply the area by the length of the room!
good luck
