Converting two twin mattresses to a king?
Thanks!
Answers:
I sold mattresses for a year and I can tell you, you will feel a difference. You will always feel a difference. If you just have twin size and not twin XL, then it will be shorter than a king.
I'm not selling bedding anymore, yet I still say, you'd be much happier with a new king. Unless you have some bad *** twin mattresses
Putting 2 twin mats together does not make a full size. Please strike that from your memory
Other answers:
Combining Twins doesn't make a King size; it makes a Full size.
The extent to which you feel the seam depends largely on the quality of the mattresses themselves and the frame in which you have them. For instance, if you have Twin frames pushed together you'll feel it more than if you have the Twin mattresses on a Full frame.
eta: I should have read the question more carefully. Using one of those jobbies doesn't make a lot of difference.

First, Two Twin Mattresses DO NOT equal a King Sized Mattress! It DOES NOT equal a Full Sized Mattress Either!
Two EXTRA-LONG Twin Mattresses (Twin XL) equal a King Sized Mattress.
Twin Mattress= 38"X75"
Twin XL Mattress=38"X 80"
King Mattress= 76"X80"
