ok I live in a mobile home and i want to redecorate my kitchen. I don't want to remodel because I don't plan on living here forever...I want a house. Anyway, what can i do to dress it up? I enjoy covered it with contact daily before, and it looked well-mannered, but want something different. I also thought about doing a chalice mosaic on the island..could i put it on top of the laminate counters or do i have need of some type of wood or something? Please help
Answers: If you go and get the proper glue you can dance right over the laminate. Ask your local hardware store for advice.
To put down a chalice mosaic or ceramic tiles, you will have need of to first put down concrete wall board. The surface must not give at adjectives. If the counters flex in even the smallest bearing, the mosaic will start cracking and coming apart. I learned this lesson the intricate way by putting down earthenware floor tiles without the right stern.
There are certain types of paint made of late for painting metal or plastic. You might consider that instead.
