I need a new digital aerial and the transmitter is 30 miles away. What is my signal strength?

When I look at screwfix, the aerials are described as average/weak, weak/very weak signal etc. Which would be best and can a powerful aerial with extra gain ruin the picture?
I also want to feed this into a 6 way splitter and only 1 tv is digital. Would I get ghosting on the analogue channels?

Make sure the antenna has enough gain to overcome the loss of a six way split. (less than 1/6 of the signal will reach each TV). You might need an amplifier. 30 miles is not very far for most TV signals to travel, so any decent antenna will pick up the signal. As for ghosting, that depends more on pointing the antenna properly and the quality of your wire and connections. More tips here:
