hot water and soap
hot water and soap
The product, "goo gone" is wonderful.
I don't know of any methods that will save you time but ethanol or something similar is good for removing the residue left behind by tape. Best method would be soak a small area then use a paint scraper to remove the slime that's left. Will be messy but shouldn't damage the wood any further.....
Frst some WD40, that should nutralize the glue, then wash the floor as usual.
Try rubbing any household oil in it and let it sit a little. Hot soapy water might do it but I would be afraid to let it sit on the wood too long. Maybe Goo gone or something like that will help. Whatever you use I imagine it will take some rubbing.
buy a big jar of cheap vitamin e cold cream and smear on the tape and let sit and then wipe up with warm soap and water.
Try bourbon. Soak the tape w/bourbon. It works.
And if it don't I would rather polish off the remains of a bottle of Makers Mark than 3/4 of a bottle of cheap, vitamin E cold cream!
WD-40 and beer.
Drink the beer and use the WD-40 for the tape.
Rubbing alcohol. Use Q-tips, soak the paper and remove with a scraper carefully.
If you want to have more fun, use Gin. One sip of gin, two drops to the tape, another sip, two drops to the tape and keep going....... till you really get intoxicated. After sometime it won't show.
