What is better a drop or broadcast fertilizer spreader?

I like broadcast spreaders because they cover more ground & reduce the time you need to spread lawn chemicals.

the broadcast is great small fits on the shelf as you dont use a spreader that often why store that huge thing. it is faster and more even coverage, only thing you need to buy the right pelletized stuff to spread doesnt work with gypsum, or manure,
BROADCAST! My neighbor has a drop, and it is almost impossible to get even coverage. Whenever he pus fertilizer down, it looks like a zebra with alternating stripes of green and not so green. My broadcast works great for all lawn application, and it is over 20 yrs old!
Broadcast is great and fast and you don't get noticeable overlaps;
BUT you wouldn't want to use it for powdered limestone even on a windless day.
