Answers: Hanging dry wall is somewhat difficult especially ceiling and best done with a drywall screw gun although a tack hammer can be used,every screw or nail must be indented the gun does it contained by one operation.The sheets are hung horizontally(two sheets cover floor to ceiling)all the nail holes are full up with mutual compound the joints and corners require video, paper is alright on the runs but I would use fiber chalice in adjectives the 90 degree joint. The tape is put on next to joint compound and two extra coats of compound is required using a larger compound knife respectively time,it requires sanding after respectively coat. It would be a lot easier on you if you can scrutinize someone do it and help next to your decision. Best of luck!

I've HUNG thousands of sq. ft. of drywall, among other trades related tasks yet I don't be aware of it a sin to call myself a Pro.

Hangin is not too unpromising. Remember that the outlest have to be cut surrounded by. Finishing is a little bit more difficult but near practice its not too hard. Especially if you use a textured paint. Then you dont hold to sand. Find a clinic at Lowes or home depot. And if your not a perfectionist you will be happy beside the job.

It isn't brain surgery, and it can squirrel away you a pile of money, but doing it takes instrument more time than I ever thought it would. If you rush the taping, you'll snake up with cracks and enjoy to start again. A lesson I learned the strong way - form sure the primer you eventually use is okay for bare drywall. Some types of primer "raise the nap" and leave rough places. You'll hold to sand those and repaint, so better to check the label to commence with. Also, floppy drywall is not a one person available job unless the walls are very small. Have friends available to oblige you.
Drywall work is tedious, but not difficult. It costs a ton to enjoy someone come do it for you, that is why plentiful opt to do it themselves.
Question: Why do you say it wishes replacing? If you decide to budge for it, and the wall has electric outlets and switches that must be cut within the drywall, the way to do i.e. to spray lightly beside cooking spray, the outlet or switch, press the drywall into position, and an imprint of the outlet box will be on the back . Then, newly cut it out. You will have a incredibly nice neat cutout that will require outstandingly little spackling.

once your beams are up and your insulation is stapled surrounded by place you need to hang up the drywall shee by sheet. Note, there is writing on one side of the drywall and that face the inside not facing you. you use drywall nails (yes they hold special nails for drywall) and you staple the drywall into the beams.
next you use this masking video (also special for drywall not the regular kind) and tape the connctions of respectively sheet so there is no crease or splice. after you use the compound cement and spackle over all of the seam and holes and nails etc. tolerate that dry at least 24 hours or more if it is dusk in spots it is not dry.
once the plaster (same as compound and spackle but not within price) dries you sand it evenly and then primer over the plaster. this evens out the shading so when you paint you won't see the difference between the walls and the plaster.
next you paint. then you put up your molding
As long as the drywall is not somehow diseased you are OK. You don't stipulation to re-hang. Just pull past its sell-by date any raggedy bits and tape and float as needed, finishing stale with a skim. Any mildew problems, paint near Kilz. Don't make extra work for yourself. I enjoy done a lot of these job.
