How can you make a little pocket money recycling?
Answers:
Alu cans, paying over 50 cents per pound. More if you have over 100 lbs. Millions of them along roadsides. Not only will you make money. but you are proving a free litter service and that alone is rewarding.
You will encounter other recyclables too. Take a box or bag with you
Other answers:
check around your area, there should be a scrap/recycling place nearby
if you want more bottles etc you can go dumpster surfing

well my friend in Iowa has this thing at the grocery store and they give you credit to the store for your recylced goods. you could rummage through trash to get recyclables. Maybe you could put a recycle bin where you work and then take the items.
dig in trash cans and go to parks where people litter...
A lot of places like grocery stores have aluminum can recycling trucks in the parking lot. You take in all your cans and they give you cash for them. But I think they pay you by the pound, and cans are pretty light. So just crush the cans, make sure they're aluminum and not tin, and save them up until you have a whole bunch.
Look for where people are apt to leave money bottles, parks, sides of road, behind stores. My brother in law spends weekends doing just that. Gets kids to help makes around 35-40 dollars on a regular day, and cleans the environment too. You can post to pick up these types in stores, free papers. many people hate to return them even for money.Just an idea.( a long with the returnable cans)
On the beaches in San Diego, whole families go around with large plastic bags and collect empty cans and bottles. Sometimes they push the baby in a stroller with a bag tied to the handle to help collect.
It must be a good way to make money. I don't know, I've never tried it. I once collected popsicle bags at the park and turned them in for prizes. I got a telescope that way one summer.
