Tell her you are moving out in 30 days. It is not healthy for either of you to be in that situation. After 30 days, just go. She is an adult and will have to adjust. Sooner or later, she knew this would happen. Better sooner than later.
what did you mother pay the rent with before you started working ? just tell her you are moving out and go..................... she paid all the bills when you were growing up and she can again ..there is no reason for her to make you feel guilty about living you own life

If there's nothing wrong with your mom tell her how you feel. And tell her you are moving out and don't back down because if ya do ya will be backing down forever. I do think that if your mom isn't capable to work ya could help her get on government help. I do think it is a child's responsibility to take care of their parents if they are not physically able to do it themselves. But if your mom is just using you, YOU need to stand up for YOURSELF,or you will be kissing momma's butt forever.

Your Mom doesn't work because she has you to support her. Where is your Dad, her husband ? Is she old enough to go to a senior citizen housing apartment, 60 on up.? I'm sure you love your Mom,but you are entitled to a life of your own. Ask her if she can start looking for a job. Do you have any brothers or sisters she can stay with for awhile ? Does she have any brothers or sisters she could move in with ? Sit down and tell her you love her but that you need your privacy. Be kind to her, after all, we only get one Mother in life. She took care of you until you could take care of yourself, now it's your turn.
