Get a builder to do it, it may not be as jammy as you think.
Start beside a solid foundation..no ...i dunno..ask your local masons.

Also, check out your library. They'll enjoy books on this.
Start with a honest steel reinforced concrete foundation. It should be wider than the wall, and proportional to the height of the wall (i.e. taller walls requirement a wider, and often deeper foundation).
That'll maintain you busy for a while, and during your breaks, read one of those "How To" books or websites, where you can swot various bricking pattern, mortaring thickness, mortar striking and curing, brick level and alignment, and how to clean uncured mortar bad brick faces.
It's fun once you return with the hang of it, but there's closely more to it than you might think.
If I can do it, anyone can. Or, simply get the stuff and hand down it outside and wait for the expert neighbours to way of walking past to share you the best way of building a wall. Act dim and consequently watch them do it.
near bricks and mortar
you can buy a brick laying set on the just what the doctor ordered world shopping channel.a device which make sure your mortar is of an even thickness etc, perchance a good conception as its a lot harder than it looks
Lay one brick upon another to create a bond
here is a hundred answers to this one ..so here is the easy one ..assuming you enjoy a level concrete foundation ..you lay one brick after the other from the start of the wall to the failure but after laying 3 bricks at one conclude you the break the bond by cutting a brick within half and lay on top of first brick followed by two more bricks ..the on third coarse start next to a full brick ..and so on try keeping the mortar beds even ..afterwards repeat the other end of wall ...next run a string line from one corner to the other ..straightening the bricks you enjoy laid to run with the string stripe ..the brick beds should be even an you should obtain 4 courses to 300mm in plane ...if high ..tighten the joint ..if low ..thicken ....if a single skin wall then you should build within pillars every 6 feet ..or the wall will dribble over ..at all times you should be checking that the wall is adjectives with your 4 foot smooth ..the pillars need to be a full bricks girth ..these are made by turning the stretcher brick to a header at the pillar .. i never said it was going to be uncomplicated!
Start at ground level and work your approach across and up!
I am in the process of doing exactly that!!
I hold asked the same query on here and have lots of answers.
Go and look at 'my questions' and see adjectives the lovely help, relations have given me.
Hope your wall go well too.
Start buy providing a footer for the wall to sit on it should be plane. Step brick both ends a few courses then run a string row between each course for a guide to keep hold of the course straight. Consult the web for footer specs they oscillate.
No easy or straight forward, smooth to follow instructions for this one! However....Do NOT buy the "Brickies Mate" off any shopping trough.
Whilst these do in reality give a smooth, even and regular bed and perp to work to, it is the excess of mortar, as it compressed by the weightiness of the brick, forcing into the frogs etc that give the wall its strength. Use one of these and your wall will not end long at all!
To build any wall you would own to learn to be a bricklayer which finances getting a job as a builders bricklayer if merely to learn the know how,and merely for a short while. most men I know who build brick walls are ex-builders.
hire a bricklayer to do it for u.
