House fitting , pipe fitting?
Answers: Pipe fitters usually work on commercial and industral piping similar to power plants, refineries,etc. Keeping within context house fitting probably refers to house plumbing done by a plumber but I never heard it refered to as house fitting. Refering to pipe threads they are standard designated NPT.

Hi ,I believe that the House fitting you refer to is from the principal drain,water supply that connects directly to the house. It is much larger than the rest of the plumbing pipes,and I don't know whether they do very soon,but they used to be made of cast iron. The rest of the pipes are smaller, depending on their use. Bye

Easy the corsness of the threads are different ..The pipe fitting is a much coarser thread and will not alter to the house fitting properly except where they connect near a special adapter...
I think you probably expected to say "hose" fitting.
The hose fitting is a larger thread, like peas in a pod as what is on the end of your garden hose.
The pipe fitting is NPT, (National pipe thread), and is a finer thread.
They will not screw together.
Ask your local hardware guy if you can't amount it out on your own.
