What is the best method for pressing flowers?

I want to press some flowers for an art project and put them between 2 pieces of glass to hang in a window. Is heavy books the way to go or one of those presses you put in a microwave?
Do you put the flowers between newspaper or waxpaper? Any insight on this is appreciated!

Answers:
Waxed paper for sure, don't want news print on your flowers!

Also get the heaviest book you can find to leave on them for quite a while, time depends on weather and flower. No microwave, it will damage them!

Also have you thought of trying faux stained glass? I love it!

Other answers:
Put them in a heavy book and let them dry.
Put them in a heavy book and let them dry.
You can get a flower press if you wish, they are faster then the book method. However, some say that the book method is still the best. I myself use a flower press. You place the flowers between waxpaper. Good Luck!
