I own a home.I owe $14,000 and want to flip it. Where do I begin? First step and all?
Answers:
Fresh paint inside and out, up date kitchen and bath, hardwood floors. Does the abandon grocery store go with the property, and what kind of shap is it in? You could have the advantage of advertising the home and a building for a business. The main question is how much do you have to spend on repairs and advertising? When the house is ready to sell start advertising for Open House.

What is your timeline & what cash do you have?
It all depends on the neighborhood - You don't want to have the most expensive house on the block, but you want to go near the top.
Big idea: Buy the grocery store and bulldoze it then add on to your house.
No so big idea: Update the kitchen & baths. Remove old carpeting and replace with hardwood. Remove old wallpaper and paint. Fix or replace all windows and doors. Make sure all the appliances work and are less than 5 years old. You want it move-in ready. Declutter.
