After using duct tape, how does one easily get off the sticky adhesive?

Answers:
Use something like Goo Gone. There are several of these adhesive removers on the market now. They are designed to remove the tags and labels and their glue from products. If you've ever tried to get that price sticker off that glass or plate or whatever it's great.

Just use warm water and soap.

Mineral spirits cheap can buy any hardware store works good will not harm most plastic products. Also easy on hands if you dont have rubber gloves.
Sometimes Isopropyl alcohol will take off adhesives. I use it for that purpose. I've never used it for duct tape, but it has taken sticky adhesives off my scissors before. Hope this helps you.
Pick up a little bottle of "Goo Gone". It's yellow liquid and has a mostly black label, available at any home-improvement store and, I believe, most general merchandise stores (Wal-Mart, etc.) Takes adhesive off easily and doesn't damage most surfaces. One note-- DO NOT confuse this with "Goof Off", which comes in a small can. Goof Off will remove dried paint and eat plastic. :)
Goof Off takes any adhesive off, and much more rapidly than the citrus cleaners. It is a solvent though.

Do not use on plastic. Plastic melts/etches when it comes in contact with Goof Off.
goo gone is wonderful for sticky things
Good ole WD 40 !

Dummy has the only correct answer. Mineral spirits or paint thinner, NOT lacquer thinner. Mineral spirits will usually not harm any surface unless it was recently painted.
Paint thinner like lacquer
