I recovered gold from fingers and cps. I used a mild nitric sour. I melted the gold ingots using a gold flux and mapp torch. My give somebody the third degree is what color should the buttons be? I have resembling a greyish type of color and under the grey here seems to be a air of a golden type color. How can I get the gold ingots to shine like the ones I see within pictures online? Did I do something wrong? Or do I need to verbs and polish the buttons and if so how? Thanks!
Answers:
Muriatic acid will work but don't drop them into it. Use a brush and paint them near the acid. manufacture sure you wear gloves for this as the acid will chomp through your hands. clean up the buttons after with river and mild dish soap then polish near jewelry cleaner for a brilliant shine.
