How do I run a wire from my attic down a wall?

I'm installing a wirless internet dish on my roof, and I need to run the cable through the attic and down a wall into my home office. Any tips on the best way to do this?

Answers:
From the attic, drill a hole in the top plate over the stud bay you want to run the cable, drop a weighted string down the hole, long enough to reach where the outlet will be. Go downstairs and cut a 1" hole in the drywall (will be covered by jack plate) and fish around with a coat hanger until you catch the string and pull it out. Go back to the attic and tie the cable to the string, then downstairs, fish it down.

Other answers:
Run it down the outside of you house and paint it to match- fewer holes to drill (only one) and 1000 times easier than snaking wire.

Very easy....You can buy a 30 foot snake for about ten dollars. (hardware store)

Just drill your holes run the snake UP into the hold and run the wire down and pull through. Two people work the best one to push the snake up and one to grab it.

(the snake is just a flat still piece of metal band that has a loop on the end. you tape the wire onto the loop and use as desired.

Good luck
I'll go with beardowns answer, just hope you don't hit and cross supports in the wall. sometimes there are 2x4's nailed sideways between the studs. I would try it the same way as he recommended though.
If it is an interior wall then using a weight is very easy. That wont work in an exterior wall. Exterior walls have insulation and blocking (aforementioned 2x4s running horizontal). In that case you essentially have to cut out a piece of sheetrock or exterior paneling to drill a hole.
Maybe you don't. In this case, if the wire is strictly to bring some signal from a dish to some Internet modem and from there to your computer, consider putting the Internet modem and a wireless router in the attic, and a wireless network card in the computer. You'll need to provide a power outlet (or two) in the attic, but there should be plenty of power wires you can splice into (using a junction box). And you'll probably want to mount the wireless router upside down for best signal radiation pattern.
