My husband made me these gorgeous shelves, but I want to stain them a dark espresso stain and cannot find any anywhere. The wood is pine.

Coffee and then varnish.
Brew a VERY strong pot of coffee,Almost like a thick liquid. Brush on and leave it for six hours. wipe off with a slightly damp cloth. Let it sit over night to set and do it again the next day.
After the second application leave it over night.
Wash the shelves with a damp cloth. Let Dry. Varnish to finish off.
