I want to drill two wooden bowls for 1-1/2 inch drains to use as vessel sinks.?

What is the rough opening, and how do I center the drill within the bowls. When I mount them, will I need mounting rings?

Answers:    It depends on what giving of hardware you are going to use.....If it's just for the pipe itself 1 5/8" should work, but you are going to hold to put the drain in so i would win it first and see what size hole you are going to have to drill. but I would use a hole saw drill bit to trade name the hole. The mandrel that comes with it, will center the hole for you (Pilot bit).

But the entity is, if you use a wooden bowl it will rotten out really quick. I would feel twice about using a wooden bowl......
Good Luck........
