I want to tile an outside veranda near stoneware tiles. What type of grout should I use.?

I want a grout that minimizes (or eliminates) water getting through to the membrane.

Answers:    I tile every sunshine of my life, and agree that Epoxy grout can be messy, STILL. Obviously as a DIY, you may not enjoy a deadline, or a customer over you wondering, but in my time, I'm not at adjectives interested in going put money on over with a SCRUNGE to remove residue.

I enjoy a front entryway, tiled and grouted near the Brand mentioned product, that has held up for years. Certainly it isn't the ONLY exterior formulation, but it is a valid suggestion.

merely my two "sense"

I am a bit confused however by the word, and your definition of "Membrane".
Laticrete Spectra lock grout would be best. You could use epoxy grout but it is nasty to install. Spectra lock is similar to epoxy but much easier to apply. If you use cement base grout, you can mix it with a latex chemical addition to give it more marine resistance (half water partly latex) and you could use a sealer afterwards. Make sure the sealer you use is either a one cut epoxy or a petroleum based. Water base sealer makes me giggle ("cleans up easily next to water" then I guess it simply wasted my time and money).
