Can you run a duct off of a window air conditioner to help cool another room effectivly?

I did, Kinda cheezy but i had some long drier vent duct and so i taped it to the ac and ran it to my bedroom.looked stupid but did help on HOT nights

Yes, provided that the airconditioner is powerful enough to service 2 areas. Normally, a 1 horse power (HP) air-conditioner can effectively cool an area that's about 180 square ft.; 1.5 HP - 280 square ft; 2 HP - 360 square ft. Do the math.
No , get another Window unit- if you cannot do that, set a Fan up to blow from one room to the other taking some cool air with it.
